4 Days Gorilla Trekking Uganda – Rwanda Safari

4-day Gorilla Trekking Uganda -Rwanda Safari promises unforgettable encounters with these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.

Day 1: Kigali, Transfer to Bwindi Forest in Uganda. (Approx. 4 Hours of driving)

Upon your arrival at the airport or your place of residence, one of our experienced Gorilla Trekking Uganda tour guides/drivers will be there to pick you up and take you on a city tour of Kigali. You will have the opportunity to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial and other local markets. Afterward, you will enjoy lunch before being driven to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, which is home to the endangered mountain gorillas. You’ll arrive in the evening, with plenty of time to have dinner and settle in for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest and Optional Community walking tour

After enjoying an early morning breakfast, you’ll head to the park office with your packed lunch, drinking water, and dressed in suitable gorilla trekking attire. There, you’ll receive a briefing about the do’s and don’ts of gorilla tracking in the impenetrable forest. Once you find the gorillas, you’ll have the incredible opportunity to spend one hour with them. The entire tracking experience typically takes 4 to 6 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas. Afterward, if you’re up for it, you can opt for a community walk to learn about the local culture and interact with the Batwa/Pygmies, who were the original forest dwellers before being evicted from the forests. Later, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay (Day 2)

Day 3: Transfer to Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park and Cultural Tour

In the morning after breakfast, you’ll embark on a drive to the Cyanika border, where you’ll cross over to Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. Following lunch, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, now known as the Gorilla Guardian Village, to immerse yourself in Rwandan culture. Here, you’ll meet and interact with local Rwandan men and women who will welcome you with traditional dances and drumming. Afterward, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

You’ll be staying at:

Day 4: Golden Monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park and Transfer to Kigali.

On this day after your morning breakfast, you will report to the Park headquarters ready for your golden Monkey tracking. These endangered monkeys are typically found in this region but are habituated to human presence.

You will be briefed before you head out with your lead guide to track them. Once you finish the tracking, you will return to the lodge and refresh yourself. Afterward, proceed with your 2 ½ hour drive to Kigali as you mark the end of your tour.

You will be transferred to the Kigali airport if it will be your scheduled flight time or be dropped at your Hotel.
