Did you know that Chimpanzees share 98% Of Human genes?
Did you know that chimpanzees share 98% of human genes? This striking similarity may be due to our common ancestry, even though our habitats differ. Chimpanzees are highly social creatures, known for their long-term care of offspring and strong family bonds. They can live for over 50 years!
In their natural habitats, like Kibale Forest National Park, Kalinzu Forest Reserve in Uganda, and Nyungwe Forest National Park in Rwanda, chimpanzees demonstrate impressive adaptability. On the ground, they often move using both their legs and arms, and they can even walk upright for distances of up to a mile.
Additionally, these intelligent animals are adept tool users; they cleverly use sticks to extract termites from mounds and leaves to gather water for drinking. Their remarkable behaviors showcase not only their intelligence but also their close relationship with humans in the animal kingdom.
